Kindergarten Visual Arts Program

Kindergarten: Students participate in the FUSD Kindergarten Visual Arts Program instruction is provided by classroom teachers.

Classroom Music Classes

Grades K-4: Students participate in weekly classroom music courses that include music theory, vocal production, piano/keyboards, and recorders.

Art Mornings

Grades 1-4: Students participate in weekly art morning courses.

Grade Level Performances

Grades K-5: Students participate in an annual grade level performance. These performances combine content and skills acquired through academic core classes and visual & performing arts core classes to create fun, crowd pleasing, shows. Students experience the discipline, audience, lights, sounds, costumes, and make-up of live performance.

Visual and Performing Arts Core (VPAC) Courses

• Grades 3-5: Students participate in their choice of 2 VPAC courses per semester of their choosing in Visual Arts, Theater Arts, Music Arts, Dance/Movement/P.E., and Media Arts.
• Students change VPAC courses every semester.
  • With the exception of some VPAC courses being yearlong commitments and through application/audition only.
